‌James and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on September 13th, 1793 in Greenbrier Co.,Virginia.  They had five sons and four daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Willis, Allen, James ,Jr., Stephen, George, Sarah, Elizabeth, Lucretia, Phebe and Alamander.
