Louisa was born on February 8th, 1824 in Green Co.,Kentucky. Louisa's father was William Squire Skaggs and her mother is Mary Pierce. Her paternal grandfather was James ,Jr. Skaggs and her paternal grandmother is Mary Unknown. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Fielding, Jeremiah, Stephen S., Henry D., Rachel, Libby and Jane. She was the youngest of the nine children. She had three half-sisters named Elizabeth, Mary and Nancy. She died at the age of 32 on July 30th, 1856 in Green Co.,Kentucky.-
