George VI (Albert) Windsor of Great was born on December 14th, 1895 in York Cottage, Sandringham,Norfolk, England.  George VI (Albert) Windsor of Great's father was George V Windsor of Great Britain and his mother was Mary of Teck.  His paternal grandparents were Edward VII Saxe-Coburg Wettin of Great Britain and Alexandra Schleswig Oldenburg of Denmark; his maternal grandparents were Francis of Teck and Mary Adelaide Guelph. He had four brothers and a sister, named Edward VIII Windsor of Great, Henry William Frederick, George Edward Alexander, John Charles Francis and Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 56 on February 6th, 1952 in Sandringham House, Norfolk, England.  He was buried on March 11th, 1952 in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, England.
