‌Gilbert and Alice were married in a religious ceremony in Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England.  They had seven sons and four daughters, named Henry, Ralph, Hugh, Geoffrey, Robert, Gilbert, Walter, Felia, Emma, Matilda and Alice.
