Solomon Stiver 
Solomon was born on March 7th, 1815 in Jackson Township, Montgomery Co., Ohio. Solomon's father was John Casper Stoever and his mother was Margaret Vance. His paternal grandparents are John Adam Stoever and Veronica Dup; his maternal grandfather was Michael Vance and his maternal grandmother is Barbara. He has a brother and two sisters, named Absolom, Anna Maria and Catherine. He is the oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Jacob, John, David, Elizabeth and Susannah.-
