Maud (Matilda) was born in 1192 in Pembroke,Pembrokeshire,Wales.  Maud (Matilda)'s father was William MARSHALL and her mother was Isabel Fitzgilbert De Clare.  Her paternal grandfather was John Fitzgilbert and her paternal grandmother is Sibilla De Salisbury; her maternal grandparents were Richard Fitzgilbert De Clare and Aoife MacMurrough. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Gilbert, William, Richard, Anselm, Walter, Margaret, EVE, Isabel, Joan, Joane and Sibyl.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 56 on March 27th, 1248 in England or Wales.  She was buried in Tintern Abbey,Chapel Hill,Monmouthshire,England.
