the two latte r familie s in the pla ce s named were not identical with
the
Lisewis h oldings . Like Scales, Lisewi s he ld of the Honor of Hagene t

H aughley, by Castle gu ard of Dover (Red Bo ok, pp. 614 , 706), and a
Geoffre y or Godfrey de Lisew is was so holdin g i n 1211 -12 and (i f the
