Alwilda Thomas was the adopted daughter of James Thomas and Elizabeth AnnMunday Thomas. She was born Alwilda High and was adopted sometime betweenbirth and 1880 in Kanawha Co WV. This is per the alphabetized 1880Kanawha Co census. This wonderful lady with the patience of Job had astroke but it only affected her speach and nothing else..Her memorystayed sharp and all came to her to verify a name or date of somethingthat happened earlier. This lady and my mother taught me to cook when Iwas very young child. She was referred to by relatives as well as friendsas Aunt Willie.
