Willie's father was Thomas Humphrey PHILLIPS and her mother was Betty DILLARD. Her paternal grandfather was Bethel PHILLIPS and her paternal grandmother is Hicksey BASS. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Albert, J. E., Mary Hunter, Eumphrey Martha and Enola. She had five half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named John Bethel, Arthur, Shelah Elsworth, Jimmie D, Thomas Escue, Alma Seay, Jenette, Naomi, Emma Lainie, Luenette, Mary Volene, Sally Griffin and Bessie.-
