She was lady-in-waiting to Queen Katherine Parr, to whom he r hus band was master of the horse. she was in attendanc e on the Quee n at the time of her child's birth and fata l illness at Sudele y Castle, in September, 1548. She wa s "one of the earliest an d one of the most pious, she wa s also one of the most prosaic o f our Sussex poets."
