Samuel Carlin was born on January 19th, 1864 in Irville,Muskingum County,Ohio.  He died at the age of 81 on December 13th, 1945 in Coal City,Owen County,Indiana.  He was buried in Wilson Cemetary,Owen County,Indiana.
