John Wesley was born on December 19th, 1812 in Chester,South Carolina. He died at the age of 89 on May 4th, 1902 in Mecklenburg Co.,NC.General Notes
Raised by an uncle. According to his great grandson, who lived near him,
John had a chest of drawers packed full of $500 and $1000 Confederate bills
when he died.
