John Rector 
John was born in 1707 in prob. Trupbach,Nassau-Siegen,Germany. He died at the age of 35 in 1742 in Culpepper County,Virginia.General Notes
John Rector arrived in Philadelphia 23-9-1734 on the ship HOPE with 19 other
Nassau-Siegen colonists. They settled at the Little Fork in Culpepper
County, VA. John and Johann Henrich Otterbach settled at Germantown, and
married daughters of the 1714 Colonists. His wife was probably the daughter
of John and Mary Spillman. After his death she married Timothy Reading.
They had two sons named John Rector and Nathaniel.
