Albert Van Buren was born on December 23rd, 1836 in Vigo County,Indiana. Albert Van Buren's father was John Preston Rector and his mother was Catherine Price. His paternal grandparents were George Rector and Nancy Anne Atkinson; his maternal grandparents were John H. Price and Elizabeth Mayberry. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named George, John Price, William Henry Harrison, Enoch Mabury, Wheaton Bolivar, James Monroe, Nelson R. E., Charles Prentice, Nancy Ann, Julia Ann and Emily. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 77 on September 15th, 1914 in Clay County,Indiana.-
