The affiliations were Lutheran, The Reformed and the United Evangelical combined. The year 1835, an acre of land was purchased from Jacob Burry for the sum of $10.00. Logs were to be jurnishec by the members from their respective farms. Until the building was complete in June 1836, church services were held at the home of Jacob Burry. Rev. E. Winter was elected Pastor. By 1856, Burry Church was found inadequate to hold its many members After considerable disappointments, a new brick church, costing $3,000.00, was dedicated May 29, 1859. At present the third church is standing, dedicated November 18, 1928, "BURRY CHURCH", New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Rural Route #1, Rochester, PA.
