General Notes
Obit--Alexandria Gazette, 28-1-1815--John Brett Died on the 5th inst.
(5-1-1815) at his residence in Prince William County, Virginia. Capt. John
Brett, aged 76 years. He was a native of Charles county, Maryland, but had
resided upwards of 60 years (54 a married man) in Prince William county, MD.
Has now left his aged widow, nearly his own age, two sons, and several
grand-children.
John and Mildred were married in a religious ceremony about 1761. They had two sons named George and Richard A..
