Her paternal grandparents were Romain De Trépagny Trépanier and Genevieve Drouin; her maternal grandparents were Charles Lefrancois and Marie Madeleine Triot. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Francois, Charles Francois, Joseph, Augustin, Prisque, Jean, Gabriel, Etienne, Claude, Genevieve, Cecile, Anne, Claire Francoise and Anne.
