Joseph Loranger was born on March 12th, 1755 in Ste-Genevieve-DE-Batiscan, Quebec, Canada.1 Joseph Loranger's father was Joseph Rivard Loranger and his mother was Genevieve Cote. His paternal grandparents were Claude Rivard Loranger and Marie-Catherine Dit Chatellerault Roy; his maternal grandparents were Jean Baptiste Cote and Genevieve Trepagnier. He had a brother and a sister, named Jean Baptiste Rivard and Marie. He died after 1817.1 -

Joseph Loranger and Marie Dit Lajoie were married in a religious ceremony on February 8th, 1796 in Yamachiche, Quebec, Canada.1 They had four sons and ten daughters, named Alexis, Amable, Charles, Joseph, Louise, Antoinette Dit Loranger, Clotilde, Marie Josephte Dit Loranger, Justine, Luce, Esther, Julie Dit Loranger, Felicite and Marie Clarisse.
