William I De Mandeville 
William I was born about 1062 in Rycott, Oxfordshire, England. William I's father was Geoffrey De Mandeville and his mother was UNKNOWN Athelaise. He was an only child.General Notes
William de Magnivil, corrupted into Mandeville, was keeper of the Tower of London. He m. Margaret, only dau. and heiress of Eudo de Rie Dapifer,* and had issue, Geoffrey and Beatrix. He was s. at his decease by his son, Geoffrey.
