Alexis Cormier

Alexis was born in 1672 in Beaubassin, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.¹ Alexis' father was Thomas Cormier and his mother was Madeleine Gerauard. His paternal grandparents were Robert Cormier and Marie Peraud; his maternal grandparents were Francois Girouard and Jeanne Aucoin. He had a sister named Marie. He was the older of the two children.

‌Alexis and Marie were married in a religious ceremony in 1697.¹ They had two sons and five daughters, named Jean Baptiste, Pierre, Marie, Agnes, Anne, Madeleine and Marguerite.
