IV was born in 0654.  IV's father was Theuderic III King of the Franks and his mother was St. Amalaberga.  His paternal grandparents were Clovis II King of Neustria and Bathild; his maternal grandparents were Wandregisi and Farahild. He had two brothers and a sister, named Clovis III King of Austrasia &, Childebert III King of Austrasia & and Chrotlind.  He was the youngest of the four children.
