Benjamin and Isabella moved to Paoli in Orange County, Indiana sometime before 1820, when Asa was born, and after their marriage in 1810 in Woodford County, Kentucky. Dick Veach states he has a copy of a mortgage dated 25 Nov. 1833 with an Asa Veatch and a Polly Veatch buying 2 parcels of land. " This Asa is probably a brother of Benjamin. This same Asa Veatch and Polly sold 140 acres on 8 Nov. 1836. This transaction was witnessed by a Benjamin Veatch. (This Benjamin may have been Isabella's husband)."
‌Benjamin and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony on December 20th, 1810 in ,Woodford,KY. They had seven sons and three daughters, named Thomas, Elijah, Asa, Solomon, Samuel, Cornelius, Infant, Sarah, Elisha and Infant.
