Etta and Jacob Wendell were married in a religious ceremony on March 14th, 1897. They had six sons and three daughters, named Glen, Bert, Vern, Don, Cleo, Everett, Vera, Mary Sanders and Ruth.

Vera was born on June 11th, 1896 in Benton County, Iowa. She died at the age of 5 on February 13th, 1902. She was buried in Benton Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
Vern Zike
Vern was born on April 21st, 1904 in Benton Co., Iowa. He died at the age of 76 on July 3rd, 1980 in Merced Co., California.
