Alphonse's father was Jonas Corman and his mother was Margaret Zike. His paternal grandparents were John Corman and Susannah Nave; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Zike and Sarah Goforth. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, William Matthew, Andrew Jackson, Frank, Margaret, Mary Susan, Anna, Elizabeth and Henrietta. He was buried in Jessamine Burial Ground, East of Wilmore, Jessamine Co., Ky.-
