rec'd 11/27/2002: I found a marriage record showing William W Dodd marrying Torissa W Dendorff on 31 July 1864 in Gallia County, Ohio.
rec'd 12/6/2002: concerning that marriage record for William and Terressa,
that part of OH is right across the border from WV and relatively close
to where they were living. Ohio didn't have a waiting period for
marriages, WV did, so if you wanted a quick marriage, you slipped across
the border. It's a possibility
