Colby Taylor Chew 
Colby Taylor was born in see notes.1 Colby Taylor's father was Thomas Chew and his mother was Martha Thompson Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Larkin Chew and Hannah Smith Roy; his maternal grandparents were James Taylor and Martha Thompson. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Larkin, Thomas, Samuel, James, Frances, Elizabeth Betsey, Hannah, Alice and Mildred Molly. He died in 1758 in Fort Dequesne.1 General Notes

Colby served against the Shawnees; was in Gen. WASHINGTON's command in 1757; wounded 1758 b y Indians
near Duquesne, fell into the waters of the Ohio River and drowned.
