Marriage Record, Book F2 page 528, No. 551, in Iowa Co., IA, reads:
"I, J.W. Shedenhelm, of Iowa County, State of Iowa, aged ____ years
do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with O.F. Shedenhelm and Alice M.
Slaymaker who are parties for the Marriage of whom a License is applied
for; that said O.F. Shedenhelm is of the age of 20 years and upward, of
sound contracting mind and unmarried, that said Alice M. Slaymaker is of
the age of 18 years and upward, of sound contracting mind and unmarried,
and that there is no legal impediment to said parties entering the
marriage state, to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, and
that I am not interested in the issue of said License.

the marriage of Mr. O.F. Shedenhelm ages 22 years and Alice M. Slaymaker,
aged 23 years and it appearing by the foregoing Affidavit that the said
parties are of competent age and condition to marry License is therefore
issued.
