George * was born on June 1st, 1714 in Isle of Wight Co., VA. He died at the age of 33 in June 1747 in Bertie, Augusta Co., VA.General Notes
NOTE:
"George Hayes and his wife Sarah Dyer Hayes were known to have lived in Augusta County, VA, in the early 1700s. George Hayes died there in 1747. His widow, Sarah Dyer Hayes remarried to James Edmundson in 1749 and they moved to the head of Pedlar River in neighboring Amherst County, VA. The Edmundsons then migrated to Wilkes County, North Carolina, taking many of Sarah's children by George Hayes with them.
