Edward Eidson
Edward was born in October 1680 in
Dublin, Ireland and his baptism took place in
St. Catherine's Church, Dublin, Ireland.
3 He died at the age of 52 on February 5th, 1733 in
Richmond Co., Virginia.

Last Will and Testament of Edward Eidson
In the name of God Amen, &, I Edward Eidson of Richmond Co., being sick of body but of perfect sence & memory do make & ordain this my last will and testament in manner & form following this is to say first & principally I commend my soul to Almighty God hoping for acceptance thru the Merits of Jesus Christ my only mediator and advocate to my body I commit to the grave to be buried at the descretion of my Excrs. herin after named & as for my estate I dispose thereof as followeth Vist:
Imprimis - My will is that all my debts & funeral charges be paid & discharged.
Item - I give bequeth unto my son Joseph all land I bot of Capt. Spicer known by the name of the Old Court House to him & heirs of his body lawfully begotten & failing such heirs to my son Boyce & heirs of the body lawfully begotten & failing such heirs to the heirs at law.
Item - I give and bequeth to my said son Joseph one negro man named Rodger the bed he now lyes on with its furniture two cows & calves three stears of three years old one piece of broadcloth that is now in the house with trimming one pot two dishes six plated & my great coate.
Item - I give & bequeth the land I now live on to be equally divided between my sons Joh & Edward & the heirs of their body lawfully begotten, and failing such heirs of either of them the survivor & heirs of his body lawfully begotten, & failing such heirs to my son Boyce & heirs of his body lawfully begotten, & failing such heirs to the heir at Law, and my will and desire is that the said land be divided by my neighbors, James Wilson and William Jordan.
Item - My will is that my loving wife Penelope Eidson have half the land I now live on with the plantation during her natural life.
Item - I give and bequeth unto my son John one negro boy named George one trunill bedsted & furniture two cows & calves & two stears of three years old.
Item - I give & bequeth unto my son Boyce one negro boy named Sam two cows and claves three stears of four years old & all the perfect furniture of the new house below stairs.
Item - I give & bequeth unto my three daughters Sarah, Hannah & Betty all the money I now have in England to buy each of them one negro girle to be purchased at the descretion of my friend William Jordan & if the said money not be sufficient for that purpose my will is that it be made up out of the residue of my estate.
Item - I give & bequeth unto my daughter Sarah an orphan girle named Katherine.
Item - I give & bequeath unto each of my three daughters Sarah, Hannah & Betty three cows & calves & three stears of 4 years old.
Item - I give and bequeth all the residue & remainder of my estate real & personal to be equally divided between my loving wife Penelope Eidson & my son Edward whom I do hereby constitute & appoint Exrx. & Exr. of this my last will and testament.
