Herbert was born in 1906.1  He had seven brothers and a sister, named Charles, Leonard, Sydney, Walter, Reginald, Norman, Geoffrey and Dorothy.  He was fostered by Herbert Alfred Distill & Annie Chappell.  He died at the age of 11 in 1917.1
