John was born on 19-Aug-1814.1 John's father was John Fryer Goad and his mother was Anna Maria Paul.  His paternal grandparents were William Goad and Darling Thomas.  He was the second of three children.  He had two brothers named Goad and Goad.  He died, at the age of 74, on 31-Mar-1889 in Ealing, Middlesex.1
