Emma Louisa Goad

Emma was born in 1830.¹

Emma's father was Benjamin Goad and her mother was Anne Elizabeth Hill. Her paternal grandparents were William Goad and Darling Thomas; her maternal grandparents were Lt Col Sir Robert Chambre Hill and Eliza Lumley. She was the fourth of six children. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Charles, George, Goad and Henrietta. She died, at the age of 78, in 1908.

Herbert and Emma were married on 25-Jun-1856 in St Peter's Eaton Square by reverend Edward H Goddard.²
