"JUDICIAL AND LAW NOTICES.
APPLICATION for LETTERS of ADMINISTRATION.—Notice is hereby given, that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof application will be made to the Supreme Court of the Colony of Victoria, in its Probate jurisdiction, that LETTERS of ADMINISTRATION of the estate of NICHOLAS OGIER, late of Clunes, in colony of Victoria, labourer, deceased, may be granted to me, the undersigned Sarah Ogier, being the widow and next of kin of the said deceased. 
Dated this 2nd day of July, 1894.

Western Argus (Kalgoorlie, WA) - Tuesday 29 October 1918 - Deaths... 
"OGIER.—On the. 20th inst., at Clunes, Victoria. Sarah, relict of the late Nicholas Ogier, and beloved mother of H. S. Carter and A. E. Ogier (killed in action 25/4/'18). Age 77 years."

Gravestone inscription, at the Clunes cemetery, also states that Sarah died on the 20th October 1918

The Ballarat Courier (Vic) - Friday 25 October 1918
"OBITUARY Our Clune correspondent writes : — Death has been busy amongst the older residents of the town during the past   few months. This week the deaths occurred of Mrs Ogier, relict of the late Mr Nicholas Ogier, and Mrs Ogier, relict of the late Mr Henry Ogier. One son of the former deceased lady died on active service, and two sons of the latter are at present on active service."

There is an inscription on Arthur's parents' gravestone, at Clunes cemetery, Clunes, Killed in Action in France on the 25th April 1918, aged 36 yeard.
