Charles' father was George Brown Stout and his mother was Margaret McCann.  His paternal grandparents were James Stout and Elizabeth Brown. He had two brothers named Valentine and Charles.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named George, David, Victor, Elizabeth and Violet.  He died at just 6 days old on June 25th, 1901 in Townsville, Qld, Australia.  He was buried on June 26th, 1901 in West End Cemetery, Townsville, Queensland.^2 2
