Mary Maria Oshyer 
Mary was born in 1890. Mary's father was Peter John Thomas Ogier (Oshyer) and her mother was Mary Ann James. Her paternal grandparents were Peter James Ogier and Mary (Maria) Avison; her maternal grandparents were William James and Mary Evans. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Peter, David, Tom, Florence, Edith, Hannah and Beatie. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Jimmy, George, Bill, Walter, Isabella-(Bellie) and Gwendoline. She died at the age of 66 on March 6th, 1956 in Charters Towers, Qld. The funeral took place on March 7th, 1956. She was buried on March 7th, 1956 in Charters Towers Cemetery, Qld.1 2 1 Death Notes

Mary Maria Oshyer was born in 1890, the first child of Peter and Mary Ann Oshyer. It is thought that the name, Mary Maria, came from Peter's mother and sister's first name. Mary was 19 years old when her mother passed away.
Mary married Herbert Buckby and they had 5 children:- Victor, Eunice, Dorothy, Violet and Herbert Jnr. Herbert Jnr married Una Morgan, and she is still alive and living in Charters Towers, Qld (as as 2004).
Mary Maria died on the 6th of March 1956 and is burried in Charters Towers Qld.
