  "Obituary.
  The Rev. George Pickering, one of the oldest Wesleyan ministers in this colony, and whose labours in connection with the colonial church date from 1851, died last week, at Glebe Point, at the residence of his son-in-law, the Rev.Dr. Sellors. Mr. Pickering was engaged in some of the roughest pioneer work of earlier days, and and was greatly respected in the many circuits in which he laboured."
