Coming to Mt. Morgan many years ago, he was employed by the late Mr. Tom Allen, storekeeper, Red Hill, and remained in his service for many years. He was for many years in the employ of the late Mt. Morgan Gold-mining Co., working in the fitting shop.
He married the late Miss Mary Boyle, who predeceased him four years ago. Shortly after the death of his wife he returned to Ireland, but came back to Mt. Morgan two years ago.
Mr. Malynn was well educated and took a keen interest in astronomy. He was a valued member of the Mt. Morgan branch of the H.A.C.B.
