"Obituary - MR M. V. HEALY
The death occurred recently of Maurice Vincent Healy at the age of 54.
Mr Healy wasg born in Rockhampton and entered the railway department as a clerk in the traffic manage's office in 1909.
In December, 1921, he was promoted to a classified officer in the claims section and was appointed assistant officer in charge in August, 1943. At the time of his death he was acting-officer in charge.
Mr Healy was regarded in the de partment as a very efficient officer.
A keen footballer, Mr Healy, was captain of the Brothers' Club for three years in succession, during which time they were premiers. He gave np football when League was introduced.
Mr Healy is survived by a wife, a son, Desmond and a daughter, Morisco."
North Rockhampton Cemetery Records show that Maurice Vincent HEALY was aged 54 when he died on the 15-Apr-1947. He was buried on the 16-Apr-1947.
