"HALBERSTATER-WALSH WEDDING.
QUEENSLAND MEDICO MARRIED.
St. Brigid's Church, Marrickville, Sydney, was chosen for the marriage of Miss Mollie Walsh with Dr. Leslie Halberstater, eldest son of Mr. Louis Halberstater, of Mt. Morgan. Rev. Father Phelan, of Lewisham, who officiated, was assisted by Rev. Father Joseph, of Marrickville.
The bride, who is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Walsh, of "Theophane," Marrickville, was given away by her father.
She wore a gown of white georgette and Chantilly lace, and a delicate note of colour was introduced by her veil of shell pink tulle, banded with orange blossoms. Her pink shoes and stockings further enhanced the dainty colourings of her choice. Her bouquet was of pink and white gladioli, rosebuds, and maiden hair fern.
The bridesmaids, Misses Helen Coleman and Mollie Tynan, cousins of the bride, wore pretty frocks of lemon georgette and lace, and jacaranda blue chiffon, respectively. Their hats and bouquets toned with their frocks.
Mr. Tom Barry, of Townsville, was best man, and Dr. D. Coleman-Trainor, of Ourimbah, was groomsman.
The reception was held at the Civil Service Stores, where the bride's mother received the guests wearing black georgette embossed with gold. The brides groom's mother was in black lace. The honeymoon is being spent in a motor tour."
