Mount Morgan, will be married next Saturday to Mr. Francis G. Walsh, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Walsh, Gunda- gai, New South Wales. Miss Halberstater was formerly pianist for the Repertory Theatre orchestra in Brisbane, and recently she has been music mistress at the Sydney Girls' High School. Mrs. Ruby Ledger, of The Mullion, Yass, will be hostess at the reception following the wedding, at her flat, The Alexander, Double Bay. She will also entertain to-day at a pre-wedding tea for Miss Halberstater."

"Walsh — Halberstater INTER-STATE interest surrounded the wedding in St. Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, on September 21 of Miss Doreen Halberstater (only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Halberstater, of Mount Morgan) and Mr. Francis G. Walsh, of the Commonwealth Bank, Sydney (only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Walsh, of Gundagai). The Administrator, the Very Rev. Father Walter Hurley, officiated, with Nuptial Mass.' Orchids were worn by the bride on the shoulder of her moonstone crepe satin gown, which was made with a side-saddle drape, and allied with a wide bonnet. Mrs. Adrian Twigg (Rose Bay), cousin of the bride, was matron of honour, gowned in haze blue sheer, and wearing a naval floral toque. Mr. Twigg gave the bride away, and Mr. Vincent Leary was best man. On leaving the staff of the Sydney Girls' High School, the bride was presented with a coffee set."

Of wide interstate interest was the marriage, during Nuptial Mass in St. Mary's Cathedral, on September 21, between Miss Doreen Halberstater, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Halberstater, of Mount Morgan, Queensland, and Mr. Francis G. Walsh, of the Commonwealth Bank Sydney, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Walsh, of Gundagai. The Very Rev. Walter Hurley, Administrator of the Cathedral, officiated, and during the ceremony songs wero rendered by Mr. Kenneth Neate and Miss Ruth Taylor. The bride wore a satin-backed crepe frock of moon-stone blue and a wide summer bon-net. She pinned orchids on her shoulder. Her cousin, Mrs. Adrian Twigg, of Rose Bay, was matron of honor, frocked in haze blue sheer, with navy toque, and Mr. Twigg gave the bride away. The groom's cousin, Mr. Vincent Leary, was best man. Before her marriage, the bride-elect, on leaving the staff of the Sydney Girls' High School, was presented with a handsome coffee set, and she was tender-ed a pre-wedding party by Mrs. Ruby Lodger, who just returned with her children from her station home near Yass, at Mrs. Ledger's flat at The Alexandria, Double Bay."
