  "Mr. George McEvoy, an old resident of Rockkampton, died last week, at the age of 84. He was a native of King's County, Ireland, and landed in Rockhampton in 1865. He settled at Table Mountain, outside of which was then a modest township, and spent practically his whole life among cattle with success. Of the girls he left one is married, one single, and two are nuns. There are two surviving sons, Mr. J. J. McEvoy and Mr. G. McEvoy."
