Elizabeth (Betty)'s father was John Joseph McEvoy and her mother was Ellen Agnes Maher.  Her paternal grandparents were George McEvoy and Mary Campbell; her maternal grandparents were Patrick Maher and Ellen Nora O'Reilly. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Kevin  and Agnes.  She was the second youngest of the five children.  She died at the age of 93 on August 2nd, 2005 in Rockhampton, Qld.  The funeral took place on August 5th, 2005.  She was buried on August 5th, 2005 in Gracemere General Cemetery, Rockhampton Qld.^2 2
