GLADSTONE, February 2.
A very old identity, Mrs. J. W. Coase, died early this morning at the age of 79 years. As a child the late Mrs. Coase, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Higgins, arrived in Queensland in 1863.
Her father was town clerk at Gladstone for many years. She is survived by her husband, four daughters, and one son, Mr. W. V, Coase, superintendent of the Gladstone Ambulance."
