Marriage (two children)
30 Dec 1821 (St. Peter's, Huddersfield, Abode Ley Moor Bottom)
1824 - >1861
Rebecca
Ann
Robinson
37
37
Full name is "Rebecca Ann", confirmed by christening record and mothers name on son Albert's birth certificate. She was born at Longwood, about 500m from Leymoor, and also close to Quarmby Cum Lingley.
In 1841, "Rebekah" was living in Ley Moor, Golcar with mother Hannah (45) and sister Betty (9).
In 1849, "Rebecca" married and on the 1851 census, but went by the name of "Ann" on the 1861 census, so although Rebecca was her first or official name, she probably went by the name of Ann.
Milnsbridge (spelled "Mills Bridge" on her wedding certificate) was the home of Rebecca Robinson before she was married to George Stocks in 1849. Milnsbridge is just over the railway line from Longwood, where Rebecca was born (according to 1861 census).
Rebecca Robinson (b.1821, age 20) living in Dock Street with James and Mary Stuttard and family. This is the only recorded Rebecca Robinson in Huddersfield in 1841, but her age appears a little old, and this is the wrong person.
Rebekah Robinson (b.1826) is a better match, living with sister Betty (b.1832) and mother Hannah (b.1796) in Golcar.
The 1851 census is a key record: Rebecca was living at 30 Back Grosvenor St., Dukinfield, Stalybridge, Lancashire with George and Son Samuel (1 month old).
In 1856, when their son Walter was born, George and Rebecca were at 57 Grasscroft Street, Dukinfield.
Betweein 1857 and 1860, George and Rebecca moved from Dukinfield to Haslingden. In 1861 Joseph and Mary Ann Midword, another stone mason family, were living at 57 Greaacroft Street (district 27a).
Called Rebecca in 1841, 1849 and 1851, but then Ann in 1861. She died before 1871 (when George was recorded as Widower).
~1798 - ~1828
Robert

Robert Robinson, a cloth dresser, is known to be Rebecca's father from her Baptism and Marriage Certificate.
Robert had probably died by 1841 when Hannan was alone at Ley Moor. However, may have been alive and seperated from hannah, living in Mills Bridge, Linthwaite, Huddersfield in 1849 at time of Rebecca's wedding to George Stocks.

Hannah
Wood
73
73
Hannah was born at Common End, Piece 2748: Quarmby-cum-Lindley, and baptised at Salendine Nook Meeting House, Huddersfield.
Hannah’s husband Robert had died by 1841 (probaly before 1831), and Hannah was living with George Warde (age ~35, a stone miner) and Christopher Shaw (age ~40, an allotment keeper) at Ley Moor. Living next door was James Wood (b.~1806) and Martha (b.~1806). Next door on the other side was Daniel (b.1818), possibly an older brother, and his wife Sarah Wood (b.1817).
Hannah was a beer seller in 1841 and lived to at least 70 years old. Clearly, beer did her some good!
Hannah (55) was living at Wood End, Golcar in 1851 with daughter Betty (15), Granddaughter Martha (8) and lodger George Ward.
By 1861, George is recorded as the head of household, with Hanna, living at Leymore Bottom, Golcar, Huddersfield.
Probably dead by 1871 when the Dyson family (her daughter) were living alone.
1798 - 1866
George
Ward

68
George Warde on 1841 census, living in Ley Moor, Golcar with Hannah and Rececca Robinson. He was a Stone Miner.
George was a lodger and there's no reason to suppose he is the father of Betty or Martha. However, he may have acted as a step or foster father, as the only man of the house.
Lodging with Hannah in 1851 at Wood End, Golcar, Yorkshire, aged 52, an outsdoor labourer
By 1861, George is recorded as the head of household, with Hanna Robinson still present, living at Leymore Bottom, Golcar, Huddersfield.
Probably dead by 1871 when the Dyson family were living alone.

In 1841, Betty Robinson was aged 9 (an error), living in Ley Moor, Golcar, Huddersfield with mother Hannah Robinson and Rebecca, and still there in 1851.
In 1861, John and Betty Dyson (3 & 28) were living in Leymoor Bottom, Golcar, Huddersfield with Betty's mother Hannah Robinson (67, Beer House Keeper) and George Ward (65, Head) and her two children..
John and Betty Tyson (43 & 38) Living in Wood End (next to Leymoor Bottom) in 1871. This may have been the same place as where the family was in 1861.
Betty was actually the daughter of George Ward and took the name WARD. She used WARD (not Robinson) as her maiden name for her marriage and registring the births of Hannah and George.

This christening record got Joseph omits the mothers name, so this could be an error. All other children also record the mother's maiden name. However, the birth fits perfectly in the gap for one child every two years. Also, it was strange, not having a Joseph. It must surely be right!
