2 Jan 1869, Joseph Mather (20), Book Keeper or Rooden Lane, Prestwich, son of Joseph Mather a weaver married Mary Smith (21) of Rooden Lane, daughter of John Smith a Tailor at St Mary's, Oldham.
Mary and Joseph were married in a religious ceremony on January 2nd, 1869 at St. Marys (Oldham) witnessed by Abrahamm Jackson & Richard Mather.2
