John Smith

John was born in 1832 in Somerset.¹

He died at the age of 40 in January 1872 in Devon. His burial was on January 31st, 1872 in Taunton.²²

- In 1861, John, aged 28 was a miner in a copper mine. His wife Mary A was 23 and thay had a daughter Mary A (3) and son John (1).
  
  In 1871, John was not at home. Mary Ann Smith was Head (33), Marrried and a Stone Cutters Wife with Maty A (13), Mahala (9) and John (6mo) at Sand Hill, Ellacombe, Devon.
  
  In 1881, Henry and Mary Soper were at Burnley with Mahala and John Smith (19 & 10).
  
  In 1885, John was a Stone Cutter (but deceased) when daughter Mahala married Thomas Hargreaves
