Assumed to be Betty, based on Turton "wife" Burial record of 21 Jan 1769. It appears she died very soon after giving birth to Jane. Perhaps this is why Thomas remarried only 8 months later.

Betty and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on September 20th, 1763 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by Vicar J Folds and witnessed by Thomas Vickars & James Livesey.1 They had a daughter named Mary.

Born Turton (or possibly Longworth).
In 1765 Thomas fell into hard times. On 15th June 1765, following Poor Law, an order (petition) was made returning Thomas, his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Mary, aged 8 months from Longworth to Turton.
