Esther's pareents were Mary and James Shoesmith.
Esther mother died aged 31 when she was 2 and was brought up by Mary Swindlehurst (possibly her aunt). Mary (50) was with her 2 year old son Alex in 1911 (so a grand aunt). Esther had a sister Sarah J Shoesmith (2y older) whom she was with in 1901.
In 1891, Esther (aged 9), granddaughter of John and Mary Swindlehurst, was living at Alma Terrace, Morton. This is also where she was living after she married.
