Based on Rachel's death, this may be Thomas Rostron, also of Holcombe (died Holcombe Bury, 1846, aged 85. The only other Bury death is for Thomas Rostron (1793-1849) of Tottington.
26 Feb 1832, Thomas Rostron an Engineer married Rachel Mather. If this is them, they would be 60y or older.
In 1841, there were three Thomas Restrons in North Bury one 69, another 65. A third was with Alice at Haslingden (70 & 60)
