William Openshaw

William was born in 1826 in Tonge-with-Haulgh and his baptism took place on March 4th, 1826 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

William's father was Thomas Openshaw and his mother was Catherine (Cassandra) Haslam.  His paternal grandparents were James Openshaw and Mary Holt; his maternal grandparents were John Haslam and Alice Kay (TBC). He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Job, Thomas, John, Alice and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 1 in January 1827 in Tonge-with-Haulgh.  He was buried on January 27th, 1827 in Bolton.²
